HNY Story1

2025-06-20

At a maintenance company, technician Xiao Liu was performing routine inspections on factory equipment. While checking an old motor, he found a wire had come loose from its terminal due to constant vibration.

“But the terminal looks fine — why did it come off?” he muttered, puzzled.

An older technician chuckled and said:

“You’re probably using a ring terminal. If the screw isn’t fully tightened, vibration can shake it loose. A hook terminal would’ve held it in place — even if it’s a bit loose.”

That was a lightbulb moment for Xiao Liu.

From then on, whenever working with vibrating equipment or where frequent disconnection was needed, he recommended using hook terminals instead:

  • The hook shape grips the post and prevents wires from slipping off easily;

  • Even if the screw isn't fully tightened, it still holds — perfect for vibration-prone or temporary connections;

  • It's faster to install since the screw doesn't need to be removed entirely — saving time during repairs.

A small design change — a big difference in reliability and efficiency.
